Why choose this model
Waterproof from the outside in
A 2.4 mm waterproof full-grain leather upper works together with a Sympatex membrane lining, so water stays out while moisture from the foot can escape.
Perwanger® leather
The upper uses leather from Perwanger, the Italian tannery that supplies the alpine footwear industry. It is the part of the boot that takes the most punishment, and the one that decides how long it lasts.
Vibram® Curcuma outsole
A Vibram Curcuma unit designed for grip and braking on uneven and natural ground, where the surface changes from one step to the next.
D3O® Anatomic System
D3O is an impact-absorbing material that stays flexible in normal use and stiffens on impact. It is built into the boot to take the shock out of long descents and hard ground.
A midsole with three densities
The midsole is not one single block: the two ends are 45/50 Shore and the centre is 55/60 Shore, so the boot cushions where the foot lands and stays supportive where it needs to hold.
Memory foam under the foot
A breathable felt insole with 3.5 mm of memory foam, which takes the shape of the foot instead of asking the foot to adapt to the boot.
Light for a boot of this class
780 g per half pair in size 43, on a 23 cm upper: the height and protection of a mountain hunting boot without the weight that usually comes with it.
